{"id":714,"date":"2008-09-22T00:27:33","date_gmt":"2008-09-22T04:27:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/juliesondradecker.com\/?p=714"},"modified":"2012-08-21T17:05:54","modified_gmt":"2012-08-21T21:05:54","slug":"old-journals-from-fifth-grade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/juliesondradecker.com\/?p=714","title":{"rendered":"Old journals from fifth grade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been going through some old journals from when I was a child.\u00a0 I found this hilarious &#8220;About Me&#8221; packet I had to fill out in fifth grade\u2014full of prompts asking me to provide answers to unimaginative questions that everyone asks kids.<\/p>\n<p>In asking what I wanted to be when I grew up, it said &#8220;When I grow up, I want to be a . . . &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to be an author.<\/p>\n<p>So I wrote &#8220;author&#8221; and then I corrected the prompt above by changing &#8220;a&#8221; to &#8220;an.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;ll show those jerks who can&#8217;t imagine that any kid would want to grow up to be something that starts with a vowel.<\/p>\n<p>I also found this prompted journal entry for &#8220;What Makes Me Happy,&#8221; in which I announced that I liked writing and wanted to be a writer . . . and that &#8220;not having a boyfriend&#8221; made me happy.\u00a0 Guess I was destined to be an aromantic asexual from a young age?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/juliesondradecker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/journal5.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-715\" title=\"journal5\" src=\"https:\/\/juliesondradecker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/journal5.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"571\" height=\"579\" srcset=\"https:\/\/juliesondradecker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/journal5.jpg 571w, https:\/\/juliesondradecker.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/journal5-295x300.jpg 295w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 571px) 100vw, 571px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve been going through some old journals from when I was a child.\u00a0 I found this hilarious &#8220;About Me&#8221; packet I had to fill out in fifth grade\u2014full of prompts asking me to provide answers to unimaginative questions that everyone asks kids.
